Muttering - Soap Box (Video)

MUTTERING might be one my new favourite bands. They hail from London, UK and play an original blend of Indie, Emo & Post-Punk. On their 3-song-EP "Soap Box" they show many sites to them, as every tune seems to offer something new. The lively title track is a clear cut hit, while "Perfectly placed Advertisement" starts more cautious with spoken words that are reminiscent of SLINT or THE VAN PELT. The catchy chorus turns everything upside down and I really love the back and forth between the chorus and the verses as well as the masterly constructed ending of the track.. These two songs are among the best I've heard all year! The third and last song "Over protective" is acoustic and feels more like an outro. They leave me back wanting more and there will be "more" just in a few days, when MUTTERING will release their new EP "Muttering at the Alter Vol. 1".
